BREAKING NEWS: NBC just announced that Miley Ray Cyrus will be taking Christina’s seat this September on Season 11 of The Voice!
I personally have never watched a full season of The Voice. When it first aired, I was a loyal American Idol fan, and really wasn’t interested in keeping up with two shows revolving around a singing competition. I did attempt to watch one season; however, my favorite was eliminated within the first few weeks, so I just stopped watching after that.
I am a die-hard Miley Cyrus fan, and I will gravitate towards anything she puts her name and/or face on, so I guess I will be watching my first full season of The Voice this fall! Miley has made guest appearances this season as coach, and will transition into the judge’s seat as a cast regular in September.
I’m really interested to see how this goes, considering that fact that Miley isn’t your typical pop-star. Miley is well, true to herself. She wears what she wants, she says what she wants, and she most definitely does whatever the f**k she wants. I do think she will stir up a lot of talk for the show… just because of the fact that she is so incredibly honest, and blunt. And obviously the network is attempting to reach a new demographic of people. They know Miley has a loyal fan-base, and will bring in an audience. Like I said, I’ve never watched a full season of The Voice before, but you can bet your sweet cheeks that I’ve already set my DVR to record next season. 😉
I also think that #TeamMiley will be unlike any other team we’ve seen before. Miley herself has a really unique voice, and has been working on her sound for the past 10+ years, and I genuinely think that she will be able to coach/guide a team in a direction that no other judge has before.
